The University of Oxford is pleased to announce for the second consecutive year the award of the Turkish Education Foundation UK Scholarship in the Humanities for 2024-25. The Turkish Education Foundation UK is a charitable organisation established with the aim of supporting and improving the access to education for young people from Turkey who are academically able but in need of financial assistance.
The Turkish Education Foundation UK Scholarship will be awarded to a student of exceptional academic merit and potential who wishes to pursue a Master’s degree in the Humanities Division at Oxford (see: https://www.ox.ac.uk/admissions/graduate/courses/humanities) in October 2024.
Value of the scholarship
The scholarship will provide the full course fee and a maintenance at the UK research council minimum level (not less than £18,622 in 2024-25).
Eligibility
To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must be ordinarily resident in Turkey. The Turkish Education Foundation UK is keen to encourage applications from young scholars who would not normally have the opportunity to pursue graduate study in the UK.
Eligible candidates will be identified by the Turkish Education Foundation UK but the scholarship will be awarded on academic merit alone by a committee established for this purpose by the Humanities Division of the University of Oxford.
Application process
Applicants are required to apply concurrently for a place on an eligible course at the University of Oxford and to submit an application to the Turkish Education Foundation who will act on behalf of TEV UK.
The application to the University of Oxford must be received by the relevant January deadline (either 7 January 2024 , as listed on the admissions website). The application to the Turkish Education Foundation UK will open on 15 December. The application deadline is 15 February. Further details are available here.
