My research focuses on Proto-Elamite Iran, particularly the emergence of writing, administrative practices, and their relationship to the socioeconomic developments of the late fourth and early third millennia BCE. I am interested in exploring early systems of recording and knowledge organisation within their broader archaeological and historical contexts.
My academic interests extend to the history and archaeology of ancient Iran, cultural interactions across the ancient Near East, and interdisciplinary approaches to understanding early complex societies. I am particularly interested in combining textual, archaeological, and digital methods to investigate the intellectual and material dimensions of the ancient world.
