Online Egyptological Bibliography (OEB)

The Online Egyptological Bibliography (OEB), an undertaking in collaboration with the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich, is one of the core projects of the Griffith Institute. The OEB contains the largest available collection of references in Egyptological literature and is updated nearly every day, providing a fundamental resource for Egyptology as a whole. It includes the records and abstracts from the Annual Egyptological Bibliography (AEB, 1947-2001), a formerly print-based project, combined with Bibliographie Altägypten (BA, 1822-1946), the Aigyptos database with keywords, and around 30,000 further items. Coverage is from 1822 to the present. Where available, references include URLs and/or DOIs for quick access to online materials. The database is currently a subscriber-based service with a synonym-enhanced, full-text interface offering a number of search modes. As of July 2017 the online database holds more than 130,000 records.
