Early Coptic literary texts; Greek and Coptic papyrology; art and archaeology of Egypt from the Graeco-Roman to the early Islamic period; early Coptic monasteries and life in monastic communities; Christian martyrs and saints, their cult and legends; invocations and healing shrines
