Old Hindi Poetry
- the emergence of Hindi literary idioms (including Khari Boli) in various scripts;
- textual transmission and Hindi manuscript culture;
- Riti poetry and the continuity of classical Sanskrit aesthetics in court literature
- aesthetic innovation and ‘ritimukt’ poetry in Braj Bhasha;
- the work of individual poets: Vishnudas, Kabir, Tulsidas, Bajid, Anandghan, Thakur
