Jiyeon Sheo

Dr. Jiyeon Sheo is an Academic Visitor at the University of Oxford. She holds a PhD in Child and Family Studies from Seoul National University and has taught undergraduate and graduate courses in child development and language education at universities in South Korea, working with both students and practising teachers. Her research examines early language and literacy development, multilingualism, parent–child interaction, and children's learning from digital media, focusing on how social interaction, multimodal communication, and family practices shape language acquisition across diverse cultural and linguistic contexts.
