Biography:

Ziwei Ye is a DPhil candidate in the Faculty of Asian and Middle Eastern Studies, University of Oxford. She holds an MA in Chinese Philology and a BA in Chinese Language and Literature from Wuhan University, China. She was also a visiting research student at the Department of Chinese Literature of National Taiwan University in 2019 and Centre for the Study of Manuscript Cultures of Hamburg University, Germany, in 2023. Thanks to generous funding  from the Sasakawa Fund Scholarship, the Lingyin Graduate Scholarship, the Glorisun Graduate Scholarship and the Khyentse Foundation PhD Scholarship, her current project examines Buddhist philological texts produced within both manuscript and print cultures in the Sinographic sphere.
