Biography:
I am trained as a historian of early China at both McGill and Oxford. I focus on connecting social-economic historicity with thought and philosophy. My Masters thesis discusses the origin and evolution of the twenty-rank military reward system 軍功爵制 from late Warring States to the end of Western Han. My DPhil dissertation focuses on the history of the Concept of Li 利 in Pre-Qin and early imperial China with a focus on the Yantielun 鹽鐵論.

I specialise in the history of early imperial China with a focus on Western Han economic history. This includes History of economic thought, history of concepts, social-economic history and military history. My DPhil dissertation focuses on the history of the Concept of Li 利 in Pre-Qin and early imperial China with a focus on the Yantielun 鹽鐵論.
